Spring time is just around the corner!

Custom Carved Boulder Fountain in Asheville, nc.
We installed this Boulder into an existing koi pond for our clients.
We just finished this custom dry laid flagstone patio in Weaverville, NC
This patio includes an inlay pattern in the center. While the rest of the patio is a random pattern, the central inlay draws your eye and invites you in.
The special part about this patio project was the custom wood bench.
My carpenter custom made this glue-lam curved bench from trees on his property.
The bench was then cut into two 1000 pound boulders. Creating a beautiful and functional feature.
In addition to the stone and wood in the design of this feature, we installed a landscape lighting system so that it can be enjoyed at night.
This was a fun feature to build and we hope to build more features like this in the future.

Today I took a walk with my daughter into the woods to relax, enjoy each other’s company and get into nature.
We ended up balancing some rocks at a popular swimming hole.
It was an amazing time. Taking a day off of work to spend some important time with my daughter.
We started off picking some wild blueberries. Then strolling down to the river, we ate some lunch and enjoyed the waterfalls.
It was a great time. Balancing stone is an amazing meditation and relaxing art form.
When we finished we discussed if we should knock them down or not. We decided to leave them up. Then we hiked up to the top of the waterfall and as we looked down on our rock balancing we saw people hiking in and taking pictures of our work. Then we noticed people engaging with what we did. Some tried to balance their own rocks, one guy balanced a rock on top of ours. It was a beautiful thing.
