New Flagstone Patio

We just finished this custom dry laid flagstone patio in Weaverville, NC

This patio includes an inlay pattern in the center. While the rest of the patio is a random pattern, the central inlay draws your eye and invites you in.

The special part about this patio project was the custom wood bench.

My carpenter custom made this glue-lam curved bench from trees on his property.

The bench was then cut into two 1000 pound boulders. Creating a beautiful and functional feature.

In addition to the stone and wood in the design of this feature, we installed a landscape lighting system so that it can be enjoyed at night.

This was a fun feature to build and we hope to build more features like this in the future.

Wood, Stone and Water…

Working in the landscape industry allows us to create beautiful features with lots of different types of materials. We are just finishing up this custom Pondless waterfall in Weaverville, NC.

This was a fun waterfall to build and was designed to flow out from under the new deck that we had built. Blending the new deck into the rock work and waterfall.

In order to do this we had to custom cut the stairs into one of our waterfall frame boulders.

At first it seemed like a problem. We didn’t plan to cut the step stringers into the boulder. But after we set the waterfall rocks, we realized the frame boulder was too tall. So we got together with the carpenter and came up with a solution. In the end I think it helped to meld the two features together.

We’ve had the opportunity to use wood, stone and even metal into some of our features. I really love to be able to blend the different materials when possible.

There are lots of options for your water feature projects. So think outside the box and be creative!

Also using ceramics and sculpture can be a fun way to create a water feature or fountain

Custom Woodwork in the Landscape

The focus of our company is to offer custom, artistic and functional landscapes and outdoor living areas in the greater Asheville area.

We are mostly known for our water features and stone work. However what some of our clients don’t know is that we offer quality woodwork in our landscape designs.

Using wood features along with stone, water features and plantings can create a very well rounded and desirable outdoor living area.

From fencing to pergolas. Benches to planter boxes. And anything else you can imagine. We can create a a very welcoming landscape for your yard.

We always think of functionality and longevity first. But to be able to add an artistic flare to your outdoor living space is a beautiful thing.

Using wood, rock and water together in a project always gets me excited. It reminds me of nature every time. Like sitting by a mountain stream with the roots of a tree hugging a large boulder.
