We’re finishing up this Pondless waterfall here in Asheville, Nc
This is the 4th waterfall we have built on this property in 5 years.
This Pondless waterfall is approximately 200 ft long with a 60 ft total drop. It has a 5 hp external waterfall pump to circulate the system.

This is just a sneak peak of the falls that we just got running today. We still have a lot of edging work, pathways, stairs, bridges and landscaping to finish up in the next couple months. We’ve been on this project for 4 months so far.
The end result on this project will be to have a waterfall that flows down the whole length of the property. With about 350 ft of total drop and appropriately 600-700 ft of total length of waterfalls.

There are 4 separate waterfall systems so far, with probably 4 more to come. Each system has its own pump, but we’re built to look like one feature as you walk the property.
The most amazing part of this project is that there is no machine access on the property, so every stone has to be brought down by hand.

Working in the landscape industry allows us to create beautiful features with lots of different types of materials. We are just finishing up this custom Pondless waterfall in Weaverville, NC.
This was a fun waterfall to build and was designed to flow out from under the new deck that we had built. Blending the new deck into the rock work and waterfall.
In order to do this we had to custom cut the stairs into one of our waterfall frame boulders.

At first it seemed like a problem. We didn’t plan to cut the step stringers into the boulder. But after we set the waterfall rocks, we realized the frame boulder was too tall. So we got together with the carpenter and came up with a solution. In the end I think it helped to meld the two features together.

We’ve had the opportunity to use wood, stone and even metal into some of our features. I really love to be able to blend the different materials when possible.

There are lots of options for your water feature projects. So think outside the box and be creative!

Also using ceramics and sculpture can be a fun way to create a water feature or fountain

Our project the last couple weeks has been working on the rebuild of a failed pond and waterfall in Asheville, near the famous Biltmore estate.

The existing waterfall had failed previously and the homeowners had it filled in and abandoned it. We were contacted to try and revive the feature in the same footprint as the old one.
We were happy to help and recommended installing a Pondless waterfall instead of a pond and waterfall system. The Pondless feature would be easier to maintain for our clients.
Plus their main objective for this project was to hear the sound from the porch.
We will typically recommend a Pondless waterfall to our clients who are not necessarily interested in raising Koi.
The Pondless waterfall system will give you the beautiful sound and enjoyment of a water feature with all the maintenance included in having a pond.
With this feature we re-landscaped the project area and installed a new low voltage lighting system, including aquatic lighting so our clients could enjoy the waterfall at night.

Here’s a quick video of the project.
