Just finished this interior pondless waterfall in Swannanoa for The First Baptist church.

Stone Veneer Asheville

We are in process of creating a custom pondless waterfall for our clients at First Baptist Church Swannanoa.

This is one of the few interior water features we have worked on.

It will be set at the entrance to the kids worship center in the church. I’m excited about working in this project and helping create a fun space for the kids.

The feature was framed into the wall with a raised pondless basin extending out into the room. The pump and filter housing is set in the narrow closet to the right of the feature.

We used an Iron Might 1/15 HP external pump for this feature. It was a tight space to plumb the pump into, but we did it.

We installed a 16 inch Aquascapes metal waterfall spillway into the wall.

Then we lined the feature with EPDM rubber liner. On top of the liner we laid DuraRock with a final waterproof coating on top.

Today we started laying veneer stone on the waterfall basin wall.

We will cap this wall with Gray Crab Orchard flagstone and install Aquablox into the pondless basin.

Check back next week for more progress.

Fire Pit Construction

We just finished this outdoor fire pit in Weaverville,Nc.

We set this fire pit on a concrete slab that will be an extension to the existing flagstone patio.

We formed the fire pit with concrete cap blocks placed in a 3 ft circle. We then anchored them to the slab using rebar and wire.

We then faced the blocks with stone and capped it with Bluestone.

We set the fire pit to be centered on the patio to allow for amazing views and to be close to the new hot tub we installed.

We will finish around the fire pit with flagstone and boulder benches.
